We're Champions for the campaign for a new Charter for Trees, Woods and People

We're delighted to be Champions for the campaign for a new Charter for Trees, Woods and People, which is being led by the Woodland Trust in partnership with over 70 organisations across the country. Our focus will be The Long View, a two-year project centring on seven remarkably ordinary trees in Cumbria, with walks, school work, and many conversations, our relationship to trees in general and to the environments around us.

5 in 5 : the 555 tour

An unusual way to kick off a new year. A while back we pledged that when we reached 555 followers on Facebook we would jump on the 555 bus and travel through the middle of the Lake District, stopping at five pubs. As it happened the A591 was closed just north of Grasmere, thanks to damage caused during Storm Desmond. Here's what happened. 5, 5 & 5 on the 555
