Discover Pando, The world’s largest tree. Oct 17, 6.30pm online

OCTOBER 17th, 6.30pm – 7.45pm, Online.

This clonal aspen in Fishlake National Forest, Utah, spans 43 hectares and has been active for 9000 years. It’s a stunning living being – and fascinating too for the research that’s underway to better understand its resilience, and adaptations to a changing climate. Rob will be chairing this online event being hosted by the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG). Lance Oditt, director of the conservation group Friends of Pando, will be joined by forestry specialists and artists to tell the story of this incredible tree and collective efforts to care for it. Free, but you’ll need to book to get access.
